Sick Post... wah.

But at least I have time to blog now?  I woke up this morning extra early so I could shower and get ready for work... but starting feeling really queasy after I had my morning cafe and croissant... so I just sat at the dining table for 10 minutes, hoping it would go away.  But it didn't. :(  Seeing as it is also high 40s F and rainy outside, and I barely packed any winter clothes, I opted to stay home... I have no idea if this is a cold or a stomach bug, but yes, sick.  SIGH.  What a great way to make an impression on the first week of my internship.  Oh well, I'll just try to work from home.  Toulouse is normally extremely sunny and warm during May and throughout the rest of the summer, but for whatever reason, fate did not smile upon me kindly and decided to throw in 2 weeks of crappy rainy windy freezing weather.  Maybe this is just so I can appreciate the crazy heat later when I'm in Uganda?  I have literally been wearing 5 layers of clothes since I arrived in Toulouse...

Meh I'm sleepy again.  I'll continue blogging after my nap.  Perhaps my body is revolting against the weather so that I can just stay in bed and be warm. 

A whole year later...

Wow, it's been a year since my last post.  But here I am, traveling again.  Currently sitting in the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France (as if I need to put the country, ha).  Going to embark on an adventure with my dear friend Saba for a week before I start my research exchange at the medical school in Toulouse.  We'll see how much French I am able to pick up in one month's time.  At least I was able to order un cafe au lait without any problems.  :) 

Will find time to update on how the first year of medical school went at UIC.  But for now, sleepyhead travels and adventures.
